Crafted by Hand.  Made to Endure.

Heirloom-quality wallets, money clips, card holders, passport covers, journal covers, purses, handbags and other small leather goods - meticulously handcrafted for a lifetime of use

Every piece at duPlooy Fine Leather is meticulously handcrafted using some of the world's finest vegetable-tanned leathers and genuine shell cordovans, carefully sourced from renowned tanneries and finishers in Japan, the United States and Italy. Where space permits, each creation bears the debossed mark of the tannery or finisher from which its leather originates—a subtle testament to the provenance and quality of the material.

Every stitch is sewn entirely by hand, using the time-honored art of traditional saddle stitching. With precision stitching irons, an awl when required, and two needles, each seam is carefully formed, one stitch at a time. No machine stitching is used. Only premium threads are selected, including fine linen, bonded nylon, and high-quality polyester threads from Japan and Germany, chosen for their strength, durability, and refined appearance.

Exceptional attention to detail extends to every stage of the crafting process. Exposed leather edges are painstakingly sanded, burnished, and waxed to achieve a smooth, lustrous finish that is as durable and practical as it is beautiful. These finishing touches, requiring considerable time and patience, are an essential part of the craftsmanship that distinguishes every piece.

The result is fine leatherwork of enduring beauty, made to be used, appreciated, and treasured for years to come.
