Mini Horizontal Snap Card Holder - Badalassi Waxy

This card holder is sized to hold up to six to eight cards.  It closes with a robust, solid brass line snap made by Hasi-Hato in Japan.  Sized small but with considerable carrying capacity, it easily carries folded banknotes too.

It is made with Waxy leather in the color Natural, from the world-renowned Badalassi Carlo tannery in Tuscany, Italy.  See below for a description of this leather.

It is fully hand stitched with 0.6mm Vinymo MBT thread from Japan.  This is a twisted polyester thread, perfect for a card holder as it is very strong and resistant to sunlight and aging.  It also has very good abrasion resistance.

The edges have been hand finished with progressively finer grades of sandpaper, applications of burnishing compound and final buffing with waxes and a canvas cloth.  This finish is very durable and is easily maintained.

About this leather:

Badalassi Carlo Waxy is a premium, full-grain cowhide leather, traditionally vegetable tanned in Tuscany and richly infused with oils, tallow and waxes.  Its softly milled surface reveals natural grain, subtle veining and a pronounced pull-up that creates shifting shades wherever the leather bends or is handled.  Supple yet substantial, it readily records scratches, movement and use as part of its rugged character.  Over time, these markings mellow together as the color deepens and the surface develops a warm, lustrous patina unique to its owner.
